# Roll vs HOOKCAM

The clearest difference is update cadence: Roll at every 2 days against HOOKCAM's weekly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roll sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and HOOKCAM sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Roll ships an update every 2 days, HOOKCAM weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
