# Flashlight vs HWP Viewer

The clearest difference is ads: Flashlight at none against HWP Viewer's shown. HWP Viewer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashlight sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and HWP Viewer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashlight ships an update every 4 months, HWP Viewer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
