# Countdown Timer vs Sequence

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Countdown Timer at none against Sequence's 1. Sequence's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sequence sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Countdown Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Countdown Timer ships an update every 2 months, Sequence every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
