Purr Machine
Read full descriptionHide full description
Purr Machine simulates the physical comfort of a cat purring on your chest. Lie down. Put the phone on your chest. Close your eyes. Three real cats โ Floozy, Nacho, and No-No! โ and their actual recordings. Every breath, every bell jingle. THE HAPTIC IS THE POINT Each cat's haptic pulses at the breath cycle measured from their own recording. A continuous purr modulated by breath, with a subtle heartbeat underneath. Two patterns running simultaneously on the iPhone's Taptic engine. Nacho's rhythm is Nacho's. Floozy's is Floozy's. WHAT'S IN IT โ Three real cats, three distinct purrs โ Per-cat haptic profiles drawn from each recording โ Sleep timer: 10, 20, 30 minutes, or โ โ Audio continues when the screen locks; haptics resume when you wake โ No subscription. No account. No analytics. No servers. Free. FOR Floozy, Nacho, and No-No!, and those who love them.
BreathBuzz

BreathBuzz makes calm something you feel instead of something you watch: breathing exercises led by vibration, with your eyes shut. Most breathing apps ask you to stare at a circle on a bright screen. BreathBuzz leads the rhythm with vibration, so you can breathe with the phone in your pocket. At two in the morning, when anxiety has you wide awake, that is the whole difference. SEVEN-DAY PLANS, NOT A PILE OF PATTERNS Four guided plans, every day written out: Calm in 7 Days, Sleep Better, Focus Reset, and a Tense Moments toolkit. A few minutes a day. Day 1 is slow belly breathing; by Day 5 the pace is slower and steadier than where you started. You always know what today is for, instead of opening a menu and guessing. ONE TAP WHEN IT'S BAD SOS starts with one tap, from Home or from the shortcut on the app icon. No countdown, no setup, nothing to choose. Put the phone in your pocket and follow the buzz until the panic passes. Calm you can reach for with shaking hands. MOOD CHECK-IN, BEFORE AND AFTER Mark how you feel before the session, mark again after. Your history shows your average before-to-after change, the trigger you tagged on each entry, and a calendar of your harder days. EIGHT PATTERNS, EACH WITH ITS OWN FEEL 4-7-8, Box, Coherence 5-5, Triangle, Physiological Sigh, Relax and more. Every pattern has its own rhythm in your hand, so you learn them by feel instead of by reading. Box breathing feels nothing like a physiological sigh, and after a week your hand knows which is which. BREATH HOLD ROUNDS Guided by vibration alone: one pulse every 15 seconds, two when it is time to exhale. Your eyes stay closed, because nobody watches a screen while holding their breath. Rounds, recovery, and a personal record you can actually beat. AN EVENING THAT ENDS IN SILENCE Pick 10, 20 or 30 minutes of sleep breathing. The pace eases down on its own, the vibration fades out, the screen dims, and the session ends quietly. No voice telling you to relax, no rain loop, no sleep sound library to subscribe to. It lets go of you instead of waking you at the end. FIND YOUR RESONANT PACE Resonant breathing sits at a different tempo for every body. Hold a fingertip over the camera and BreathBuzz reads your resting pulse to suggest a starting tempo. Fine-tune it from 4 to 12 breaths a minute and save it as your own rhythm, so your coherence breathing is yours and not a default. MAKE YOUR OWN Set your own inhale, hold, exhale and pause. Choose how strong the vibration is and what it feels like: smooth, wave or heartbeat. Save it and it is yours. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No sign-up wall. No ads. No third-party analytics. Your mood history and everything else stays on your phone. Apple Watch app: a one-minute sigh session on your wrist, plus Box, 4-7-8, resonant and breath-hold sessions with Pro. Follow the haptics on your wrist and log your mood when you finish. Home-screen widget. Live Activity on the Lock Screen. Backup and restore to a file you keep. Light and dark. Eleven languages. Full reduced-motion support. BreathBuzz: calm you feel with your hand, not your eyes. Breathing exercises are not medical treatment. If you have a health condition, speak to a clinician.
