# VBCC vs Remote

The clearest difference is update cadence: Remote at every 11 days against VBCC's every 3 weeks. Remote also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VBCC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Remote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VBCC ships an update every 3 weeks, Remote every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
