# TreeNote vs Pellet

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pellet at none against TreeNote's 1. Pellet also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). TreeNote's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TreeNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Pellet asks for nothing beyond the download.

TreeNote ships an update weekly, Pellet monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
