# Pupstep vs StepHive

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: StepHive at 17.0 against Pupstep's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pupstep sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and StepHive sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pupstep ships an update every 2 weeks, StepHive fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
