# PickTwist vs Amber

The clearest difference is ads: Amber at none against PickTwist's shown. PickTwist's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PickTwist sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Amber sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PickTwist ships an update weekly, Amber fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
