# Tessera vs Quilt

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tessera at none against Quilt's 1. Quilt's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quilt sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tessera asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tessera ships an update every 2 weeks, Quilt every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
