# BluMatrix vs TaskArc

The clearest difference is monetization model: BluMatrix at free with in-app purchases against TaskArc's subscription. BluMatrix also leads on ratings volume (9 vs 1). TaskArc's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BluMatrix sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month and TaskArc sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BluMatrix against 5.0 for TaskArc. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BluMatrix has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BluMatrix ships an update fortnightly, TaskArc every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
