# Mellow Blocks vs Untangle

The clearest difference is update cadence: Untangle at every 2 days against Mellow Blocks's every 6 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mellow Blocks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Untangle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mellow Blocks ships an update every 6 weeks, Untangle every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
