# PinNote vs LockNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: LockNote at every 3 days against PinNote's every 8 days. LockNote also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PinNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.00 per month and LockNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PinNote ships an update every 8 days, LockNote every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
