# Dots vs Retro Watch Games

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dots at every 2 weeks against Retro Watch Games's every 2 months. Dots also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dots sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Retro Watch Games sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dots ships an update every 2 weeks, Retro Watch Games every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
