# Sticky Notes vs LockNote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sticky Notes at none against LockNote's 3. Sticky Notes also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 1). LockNote's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Sticky Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

LockNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sticky Notes has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Sticky Notes ships an update fortnightly, LockNote every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
