# CSUN vs CSUB Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: CSUB Mobile at 3.8 against CSUN's 3.0. CSUN's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 16 months) and review sentiment (44% vs 25%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CSUB Mobile holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 65 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of CSUN's written reviews are positive against 25% of CSUB Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CSUN ships an update every 4 months, CSUB Mobile every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
