# CSUN vs LASAR

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CSUN at 44% against LASAR's 0%. CSUN also leads on ratings volume (65 vs 11). LASAR's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LASAR holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CSUN has 65 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of CSUN's written reviews are positive against 0% of LASAR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CSUN ships an update every 4 months, LASAR every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
