# CSUN vs Smart Digital ID

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Smart Digital ID at 100% against CSUN's 44%. Smart Digital ID also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). CSUN's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CSUN holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 65 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of CSUN's written reviews are positive against 100% of Smart Digital ID's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CSUN ships an update every 4 months, Smart Digital ID every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
