# PromptSmart Max vs Teleprompter

The clearest difference is update cadence: PromptSmart Max at fortnightly against Teleprompter's every 3 months. Teleprompter's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PromptSmart Max sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Teleprompter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PromptSmart Max ships an update fortnightly, Teleprompter every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
