# Time Blind Timer vs Gently

The clearest difference is rating: Gently at 5.0 against Time Blind Timer's 4.3. Gently also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Time Blind Timer's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Blind Timer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Gently sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gently holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Blind Timer has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Time Blind Timer ships an update every 4 days, Gently every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
