# GhostScope vs SpectraWave Recorder

The clearest difference is ads: SpectraWave Recorder at none against GhostScope's shown. SpectraWave Recorder also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GhostScope sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and SpectraWave Recorder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostScope ships an update every 5 weeks, SpectraWave Recorder every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
