# Drummer Buddy vs PlayStems

The clearest difference is update cadence: Drummer Buddy at every 2 days against PlayStems's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drummer Buddy sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and PlayStems sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drummer Buddy ships an update every 2 days, PlayStems fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
