Focus Together vs Minutae

Focus Together — a study timer with cute avatars Studying on your own? Set a timer and let your 3D avatar keep you company. When you're matched with another person focusing at the same time, your avatars walk side by side through the scenery. Build a record of your focus time, one session at a time. ■ A focus timer that fits your day Choose a 15, 25, or 50-minute preset, or set a custom session from 5 to 120 minutes. Pick a category for studying, work, reading, or whatever needs your attention. Make time for exam prep or deep work, one session at a time. ■ A live "study with me" experience Share a quiet session with a study buddy through your avatars. No camera, chat, or voice. Preset sessions can match you with someone who chose the same duration. If no one is available, you start on your own. Custom sessions are solo. ■ A study tracker for your daily progress Track your study time with the timer, then add what you studied and a short note to each session. Look back on today's sessions and your focus time over the past 7 days. ■ Build a study routine with music Turn on the built-in focus music and settle into your next session. Start small and build a study habit you can return to each day. ■ Dress up your avatar Complete preset sessions to earn Focus points for outfits you like, up to a daily earning limit. You are in the meeting, so you are not taking notes. Minutae records it and writes it down on your iPhone. WHAT YOU GET, THE MOMENT IT ENDS A transcript with timestamps you can scroll, search and send. Tap any line to hear that moment again. IT SAYS WHAT IT MISSED If a call or another app takes the microphone, most recorders lose that stretch silently. Minutae marks it in the transcript and shows what percentage of the meeting it actually recorded. A partly recorded meeting is never presented as a whole one. ON YOUR IPHONE, NOT ON A SERVER Speech becomes text on the device. There is no account, no upload and no server — the recording and the text stay where they were made, and the app works with no signal at all. MARK THE MOMENT THAT MATTERS One tap while recording drops a bookmark, so the decision you will need on Thursday is easy to find on Thursday. SEND IT ON Export as plain text or Markdown, with the timestamps and the gaps included. ON DEVICES WITH APPLE INTELLIGENCE Minutae can summarise a meeting and pull out the action items, again without sending anything anywhere. TRANSCRIPTION LANGUAGES Text is produced in English, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Cantonese. A meeting in another language is still recorded — you get the audio without the text. Minutae is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and there is nothing to cancel.
