# HyperLingua vs TONGUES

The clearest difference is update cadence: TONGUES at every 3 days against HyperLingua's every 3 weeks. TONGUES also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). HyperLingua's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (119 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HyperLingua sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and TONGUES sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
