# MindPen vs ConceptMap

The clearest difference is ads: MindPen at none against ConceptMap's shown. MindPen also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and device support (4 vs 2). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindPen sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ConceptMap sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindPen ships an update every 6 days, ConceptMap every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
