# 9xchat vs Rotaro

The clearest difference is ads: 9xchat at none against Rotaro's shown. Rotaro's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 9xchat sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Rotaro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

9xchat ships an update weekly, Rotaro every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
