# Blast vs Bive

The clearest difference is rating: Blast at 4.7 against Bive's 4.5. Blast also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (219 vs 40). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blast sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and Bive sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blast holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blast has 219 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Blast ships an update monthly, Bive every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
