# Episody vs TheNextly

The clearest difference is ads: TheNextly at none against Episody's shown. TheNextly also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Episody sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and TheNextly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Episody ships an update every 3 weeks, TheNextly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
