# Zip vs Pin the Hex

The clearest difference is ads: Zip at none against Pin the Hex's shown. Zip also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Pin the Hex's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zip sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pin the Hex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Zip ships an update every 2 months, Pin the Hex every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
