# ProperSound vs Shadow Edge

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shadow Edge at every 5 days against ProperSound's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProperSound sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Shadow Edge sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProperSound ships an update every 2 weeks, Shadow Edge every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
