# OtomatikEdit vs Subtext

The clearest difference is update cadence: OtomatikEdit at weekly against Subtext's monthly. OtomatikEdit also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OtomatikEdit sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Subtext sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OtomatikEdit ships an update weekly, Subtext monthly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
