# Wristmate vs WhyNot Widgets

The clearest difference is price: WhyNot Widgets at Free against Wristmate's $0.99. WhyNot Widgets also leads on update cadence (daily vs weekly) and ratings volume (45 vs 1). Wristmate's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 8). On review sentiment, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

WhyNot Widgets is free to download; Wristmate costs $0.99 up front. WhyNot Widgets sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Wristmate asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wristmate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WhyNot Widgets has 45 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Wristmate's written reviews are positive against 70% of WhyNot Widgets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wristmate ships an update weekly, WhyNot Widgets daily. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
