# Luminol Story vs WaveShort

The clearest difference is update cadence: Luminol Story at every 2 weeks against WaveShort's every 5 weeks. WaveShort's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Luminol Story sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and WaveShort sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.90 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Luminol Story ships an update every 2 weeks, WaveShort every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
