# Phantom Frequency vs Ghost Detector

The clearest difference is rating: Phantom Frequency at 5.0 against Ghost Detector's 4.6. Ghost Detector's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 3) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phantom Frequency sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year and Ghost Detector sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Phantom Frequency holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost Detector has 21 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Phantom Frequency ships an update every 6 days, Ghost Detector every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
