# Pixie Grid vs Zen Shikaku

The clearest difference is update cadence: Zen Shikaku at every 5 days against Pixie Grid's every 3 weeks. Zen Shikaku also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixie Grid sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Zen Shikaku sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pixie Grid ships an update every 3 weeks, Zen Shikaku every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
