# LockNote vs Fridge

The clearest difference is rating: Fridge at 5.0 against LockNote's 4.1. Fridge also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). LockNote's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Fridge sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fridge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LockNote has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LockNote ships an update every 2 months, Fridge weekly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
