# Aurora Forecast vs Rockets

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rockets at every 8 days against Aurora Forecast's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aurora Forecast sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Rockets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aurora Forecast ships an update every 2 months, Rockets every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
