# Flumen vs BeyondRead

The clearest difference is update cadence: BeyondRead at every 4 days against Flumen's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flumen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BeyondRead sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flumen ships an update every 2 weeks, BeyondRead every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
