# StemScriber vs STEM

The clearest difference is update cadence: STEM at every 3 days against StemScriber's weekly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StemScriber sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and STEM sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StemScriber ships an update weekly, STEM every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
