# SideTVs vs Unicode

SideTVs and Unicode both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SideTVs's written reviews are positive against 50% of Unicode's. SideTVs also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Unicode's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SideTVs sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Unicode sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SideTVs against 5.0 for Unicode. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 3 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of SideTVs's written reviews are positive against 50% of Unicode's.

SideTVs ships an update monthly, Unicode every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
