# SkyCue vs AstroFinder

The clearest difference is update cadence: AstroFinder at every 9 days against SkyCue's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkyCue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AstroFinder sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkyCue ships an update every 3 months, AstroFinder every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
