# Smart TV Remote vs ESP AC Remote

The clearest difference is rating: Smart TV Remote at 4.5 against ESP AC Remote's 1.0. Smart TV Remote also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). ESP AC Remote's advantage is update cadence (daily vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart TV Remote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and ESP AC Remote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smart TV Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart TV Remote has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Smart TV Remote ships an update weekly, ESP AC Remote daily. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
