# iPaint vs Tappy Paint

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tappy Paint at every 2 days against iPaint's every 4 weeks. iPaint's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iPaint sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Tappy Paint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iPaint ships an update every 4 weeks, Tappy Paint every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
