# F8 Effect vs xelka

The clearest difference is ads: xelka at none against F8 Effect's shown. F8 Effect's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. F8 Effect sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and xelka sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

F8 Effect ships an update every 3 days, xelka every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
