# Drone Scout vs NYP Parking

The clearest difference is rating: NYP Parking at 5.0 against Drone Scout's 4.3. Drone Scout's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drone Scout sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and NYP Parking sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NYP Parking holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Scout has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Drone Scout ships an update weekly, NYP Parking every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
