# Yep vs Steps Journey

The clearest difference is update cadence: Steps Journey at every 2 weeks against Yep's every 2 months. Yep's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Steps Journey sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Yep ships an update every 2 months, Steps Journey every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
