# Azure AI Prep vs Azure DP

The clearest difference is update cadence: Azure DP at every 3 days against Azure AI Prep's fortnightly. Azure DP also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Azure AI Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Azure DP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Azure AI Prep ships an update fortnightly, Azure DP every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
