# Tether vs Amble

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tether at every 4 days against Amble's fortnightly. Tether also leads on iOS requirement (18 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tether sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Amble sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tether ships an update every 4 days, Amble fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
