# FishNerd vs BayHawk

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FishNerd at none against BayHawk's 1. FishNerd also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). BayHawk's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BayHawk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year. FishNerd asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FishNerd against 5.0 for BayHawk. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FishNerd has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FishNerd ships an update fortnightly, BayHawk every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
