# TappyType vs FontStudio

The clearest difference is rating: FontStudio at 5.0 against TappyType's 1.0. FontStudio also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). TappyType's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TappyType sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FontStudio sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FontStudio holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FontStudio has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
