# Word Path Trace vs Tango Unlimited

The clearest difference is monetization model: Word Path Trace at free against Tango Unlimited's free with in-app purchases. Word Path Trace also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Tango Unlimited's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Path Trace sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Tango Unlimited sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Word Path Trace against 4.8 for Tango Unlimited. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 156 and 72 respectively.

Word Path Trace ships an update every 3 weeks, Tango Unlimited weekly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
